Character Studies

Here are character studies for some of the central characters in the Grayson Dyle Mystery Series books. With a career in IT, I thought it would be fun to use an AI (Artificial Intelligence) tool to create images of some of the recurring characters in the Design Flaws series. All of these images were computer-generated, and they represent my mental image of the characters as I write about them. Certain family members have suggested they look too much like wallet models. To that, I say you don’t cast average-looking people into movie roles–why would I use them for a book?

Grayson Dyle is the lead character. He is the co-owner of Design By Dyle, which is a small product design firm. He also becomes an amateur detective in order to solve the murder.

Kate Larson is the CFO of Murphy, Brennen & Murphy, the law firm where Grayson’s relative works. She and Grayson have an instant attraction and become romantically involved as they work to solve the murder.

Dean Dyle is a home automation guru and Grayson’s brother.

Paul Cameron is Grayson’s business partner. They are co-owners of Design By Dyle, a small product design firm.

DeeDee Miller is a relative of Grayson and Dean. She is a semi-retired crematorium worker who carries the urn of her husband with her where ever she goes.

St. Paul Police Detective Aaron Copeland has a love/hate relationship with Grayson Dyle.

All of the images on this website are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased) is intended or should be inferred.
